My personal thought is to ask when it lags - had you been doing massive work in the program for a long time? Was something else hefty running in the background? Those are usually my two problems with the program. Photoshop seems to be a very memory heavy program, and I sometimes have to save and reboot in order to free up memory. Also, if you're working on a fresh new piece, you might go to the settings and clear the history, undo, and what all. It can help ease memory strains as well. If this isn't what it is... then I have no clue. But that's my best bet. Peace! Jade

hmm, only time ive experienced lag in PS is when im working on something fairly big.. if its something like 1000+ px then it might take a few seconds for the filters or effects to apply
